eVisa for Russia
Electronic Visa or eVisa for Russia, is an electronic permit for traveling purposes. The Russian Federation Government authorizes the e-Visa. It means that you are allowed to go to Far Eastern Federal District, Leningrad Oblast, Kaliningrad Oblast, or Saint Petersburg. The idea behind promoting eVisa was to deduct the extra delays at the immigration office. Also, to avoid the requirement of showing any other documents to prove the purpose of your trip.
Application for Russian Visa online is eligible only for passport holding foreigners from the eligible countries. The eVisa for Russia is valid for only 30 days from the day of approval. In which you can stay not more than eight days starting from the date of your arrival.

However, not all countries are eligible if you are applying for the eVisa. Make sure to check if your country is suitable for Russian eVisa or not. There are more than 54 countries in eligible criteria, including countries like Austria, Belgium, China, India, France, Greece, Japan,Mexico, etc.
Due to political issues with countries like the UK, Canada, and the United States, these countries are not eligible for applying Russian eVisa.
What are requirements for Russian eVisa?
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you applied for an e-visa and free space for border crossing stamps
- Medical insurance for the duration of your stay is mandatory
- Passport photo taken within last six months (you can take passport photo in out application)
- Valid email address
